Reptiles are still imported unlike birds and they are also bred in large numbers in the UK. For this reason they are forming an ever increasingly percentage of our client base. We are already able to hospitalise Tortoises, reptiles and serpents in specialised housing and can provide the appropriate heating, lighting (UV-B) and diet. We have plans to extend the surgery to develop a separate reptile hospitalisation unit as we already provide for parrots, rabbits and raptors.

 We offer all routine procedures for reptiles including neutering. The practice has pioneered the use of diagnostic endoscopy in this group and we regularly perform endoscopy on tortoises, lizards and dragons. We are developing endoscopic surgical techniques.
