Birch Heath Veterinary Clinic is a small animal, avian and reptile surgery based in the village of Tarporley, near Chester. Our friendly team of veterinary surgeons,veterinary nurses and animal assistants welcomes all pets - we aim to ensure animals and their owners feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door.

 

 

Our waiting room is often populated by dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs; parrots, reptiles, small mammals and birds of prey are not unusual, as Birch Heath specialises in the treatment of exotic pets.  We also receive referrals from other vets in the North West & Wales.

All animals are treated with respect, care and consideration.

We are recognised as one of the best equipped surgeries in the country for treating raptors, parrots, cage & aviary birds, waterfowl, reptiles, rabbits, tortoises, exotic small mammals, zoo and wildlife. We have an onsite commercial laboratory which specialises in processing samples from unusual species, as well as more domestic animals. The veterinary surgeons have an international reputation and have lectured extensively both in the UK and worldwide. Uniquely the practice has outdoor mews for the hospitalization of raptors and ventilated purpose built parrot wards. Birch Heath have the facilities to hospitalise any small animal, reptile, avian or exotic mammal.
